Joe Grech was a Bishop who was very passionate about helping refugees and asylum seekers. He was born on the 10th of December 1948. Passed away on the 28th of December 2010. He was born in Balzan Malta. He was then Ordained a priest on the 30th of November 1974 in his hometown. But thn travelled to Melbourne to take up parish duties. He then became a auxiliary bishop of the Melbourne archdiocese in 1998. He also helped out refugees and asylum seekers durung his life, that was his passion. 

 

His remains are located at Saint Mary's Cathedral.
