Charoline was born on the 30th of May 1808, in Wootton, United Kingdom. She passed on the 25th of March 1877 in Highgate, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of Caroline and William Jones. The Caroline Chisholm Collage was founded in 1974, it is still educating many children today, its locatioin is in Sydney New South Wales.

Who Was She?? What Did She Do??

Caroline was mostly known for her involvment with femal immigrant welfare in Australia. She was a kind hearted person who would help the homless and unemployed women on the street's who needed a new start. She was the youngest of a large family, and had grown up believing that God needed her to look after the poor. She would bring them in as her own, feed them, and give them all of the tender loving care they needed.

 

After many years of helping those in need without recieving anything in return Caroline passed away on the 25th of March in 1877. Her husband diedin the next August and was burried in the same grave in Northampton, leaving their three sons and two daughters behind.
