He was born on October the 18th in 1794, in Liverpool, England. Some contributions that he had mad to the Early Catholic Church in Australia was that her heard to many confessions. He also attended to the needs of the sick, and spiritual needs of prisoners, performing a mass for all of them to attend. There were around 700 prisoners who attendedthat mass and who recieved help of John that day.

 

He was seen as being significant because he performed numerous amounts of significant things, such as helping those in need and made many acts of kindess towards thhe poor.  

 

His remains are located in the cript at Saint Mary's Cathedral
